Rep. Walter "Freedom Fries" Jones Says Cheney Will Go To Hell For Iraq War

Hilarious:
Rep. Walter Jones (R-NC) suggested on Saturday that former Vice President Dick Cheney will have to answer in the afterlife for his role in taking the country to war with Iraq.

"Congress will not hold anyone to blame," Jones said during a speech in Raleigh, N.C. "Lyndon Johnson's probably rotting in hell right now because of the Vietnam War, and he probably needs to move over for Dick Cheney."

The remark drew a round of applause from the audience. Jones was speaking at a conference held by Young Americans for Liberty, a group founded after former Ron Paul's 2008 presidential run. Jones also expressed regret during the speech for his vote in support of the Iraq War in 2003. He is widely remembered for his efforts in the leadup to the Iraq War to change the name of french fries to "freedom fries" in the House of Representatives cafeteria.
An example of the deep fryer calling the pressure cooker black? Perhaps. But at least Jones appears to have changed his mind with regard to the Iraq Debacle. Cheney still thinks the invasion and occupation was the greatest idea evah, as does John McCain apparently.
