Asked how he felt upon learning that he had been misled about the accuracy of intelligence on which he relied, Powell said, "terrible."
He added that it was "devastating" to learn later that some intelligence agents knew the information he had was unreliable but did not speak up.
I doubt that the intelligence agents wanted to mislead Powell. I'm sure they were either under orders to do so, or knew what would happen to them if they had spoken up and told Powell what was really going on. Remember, our corrupt administration punishes truth-tellers and rewards liars.
One would think that there would be an investigation as to why a top administration official was misled regarding Iraq and the threat it posed. Such an inquiry, however, would necessarily have to touch upon BushCo's manipulation of intelligence. In other words, that important issue will not be examined so long as the GOP still runs Congress.
